Pena - Conan Kirglik

Redspotted rumpy riser manx, male, born 6th November 2010
Breeder: Maxi Leinonen
We had a short-tailed housecat, Lissu, before we got our first ocicat. We lost Lissu because of liver-failure, but she left a permanent mark in our hearts and we knew we would have a manx someday..
When I met Pena first time, he was in a catshow with his brother Roope. That cold day at February in Jyväskylä I got Pena in to my handbag and carried him around. It was a joke when I said I’ll take him home in my bag, until I went to my mom after that show..>
I told about Pena to my mom and she got inspired about getting a lively manx-baby in her home. My mom lived alone with two elderly housecats and their life was.. well, quiet. I called to Maxi right away and we made an appointment to next week in Purmo, their home.
We drove there 5 hours to make sure the thing I knew before we had even started the car: He is our sweetheart, our sun and joy!
So, Pena moved to my mom’s place a couple of weeks later, and got the whole house awake. Even the sleepy, 11 years old housecat-veteran opened her eyes, and plays “catch-if-you-can” with the others now!
Manx’s character is totally something else than ocicat’s. They both are social, lively and everywhere all the time, but still manx is somehow softer and sweeter. It doesn’t have the wildness and roughness that oci has.
Where ever you go, Pena likes to be there with you, so it is also easy to travel with him. He is also doing well with our ocicats when he comes to visit us.
You can’t resist manx, you have to cuddle and kiss it all the time! Pena won’t definitely be our last manx..
